At Bradley Systems, we know how important food safety is for many of our customers — from those in food packaging and transportation to warehouses and suppliers — and we’re proud to be able to provide them with the powerful, food-safe cleaning solutions they depend on.
In November 2017, we attended the Safe Quality Food Institute’s International Conference to provide information on our SQF-compliant cleaners and to stay informed about changes and updates to SQF programs and standards.
Why did we exhibit at SQFI? Because customers are increasingly demanding higher safety standards from food retailers and service providers. SQFI helps companies demonstrate an adherence to those standards.
Safe Quality Food Institute’s Food Standards
The Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) is committed to providing continuous improvement in food safety and quality management systems to ensure confidence in the delivery of safe food to consumers worldwide. From ethical sourcing codes and management system checks, SQF certification is accepted as an international standard of excellence. As a matter of fact, it’s the only certification of their kind to be recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and it’s the only such program with a food-quality component added it its food-safety platform living true to their motto “One World. One Standard.”
As SQF’s popularity has grown, so has interest amongst businesses to meet and exceed their standards in everything from food-safe label printing practices to transportation and storage units. We spoke with SQFI's Director of Marketing and Sales, Sarah Malenich, who explained it this way:
“Certification shows your buyer that you’ve done everything you can to make your product as high-quality as possible. Our certification helps the CEO sleep better at night, knowing they’re doing what they can to protect their brand when they move product to buyer and consumer.”
Food & Drink Magazine highlights the value of SQF certification as brand protection and illustrates the value of SQF’s independent auditors who perform unscheduled inspections of a company’s food safety and food quality management. Through food system audits, CEOs of these production companies have earned a new lease on inspection and safety practices. This renewed approach to food safety enables suppliers to assure their customers that what they’re buying has been produced, processed, prepared and handled according to the highest standards at each level of the supply chain.
By using science-based, proven principles, SQFI By consistently applying food safety standards at a global level, SQFI is doing their part to ensure consumers have access to safe, quality food products.
